Principal's Message

Greetings Falcons!

Life is an adventure and joy can be found around every corner. Having traveled to many parts of our world, my willingness to always try new things, and the fun I find in day to day life allows me to always find passion in creating an exciting environment for our students. I have had the pleasure of working with students and their families for the past 21 years. In my many roles as school administrator, teacher, mentor, and collaborator, I continue to find the excitement in the daily adventures of our students.

Fryberger students receive an education rich in the sciences. We have a strong focus on Environmental Science where students investigate, collaborate, and communicate through project based learning and community events. Hands-on experimentation and activities allow for students to become passionate about their learning with a strong desire to share their learning with others.

Our teachers provide students the platforms for creativity, communication, and collaboration. Project based learning units embed reading, writing, social studies, and science. With a focus on science and the environment, instruction is planned for our TK and Kindergarten students around life cycles and plants. The TK and Kindergarten gardens are always thriving. Our 1st grade students focus their investigations around renewable and reusable resources and learn the importance of recycling and reusing materials. Science instruction for our 2nd and 3rd graders relies heavily on the investigation of our oceans and sea life. Beach trips, neighborhood clean-ups, and partnerships with various community partners teach students about the effects of pollution. Our 4th and 5th grade students focus on renewable energy and investigate how they can improve things for our future. Investigations into solar energy and opportunities to create materials that produce solar energy allowing students to understand how energy affects all parts of our lives.

I strongly believe it is of utmost importance for our students to learn in a safe, positive, supportive environment. School is an amazing place where parents can bring their children, knowing they will be well-cared for academically and socially. I believe a child’s social-emotional well-being is a strong indicator of academic success. Fryberger has a strong foundation and provides support for all students. In addition, our staff’s well-being is just as critical to the success of our students. All of our dedicated staff cross paths with our students each and every day. Positive, healthy connections are made so we may grow socially as a community.

I am thrilled for our adventure to begin. Together we create a safe, welcoming environment that our students look forward to each and every day. Our school is a fantastic place to call home.
